About Us

The Special Needs Division is a subdivision of the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education.  More information about our parent organization can be found at www.okacte.org   The division consists of  career and technology educators who are interested in providing quality services and/or instruction to diverse student populations.   This may include, but is not limited to Academic Center Personnel, Math, Science, English, Social Studies Instructors, Disabled and At-Risk Program Personnel, Occupational Service Program Personnel,  Special Needs Coordinators, Instructors, Counselors, and Administrators.  The purpose of the organization is to:

• Update SND members on trends, plans, and policies relating to services and instruction for special populations
• Update SND members on issues relating to OkACTE
• Enhance the professional attitudes and competencies of the membership
• Promote interagency collaboration
